Keith Franklin Smith

King – Keith Franklin Smith, 84 of King, NC passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at SECU Hospice Center in Yadkinville, surrounded by those he loved dearly.

Keith was born May 21, 1939, in Stokes County, NC to the late Ellis Franklin and Mary Mozelle (Boyles) Smith. He retired from RJ Reynolds and was member of First Christian Church in King. Keith found great joy in spending time with his family. He enjoyed golf, and he was one of the original founders of SCYBL Basketball and coached Little League Baseball. He loved sports and was an avid Duke fan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Steve, and Cleve Smith.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Sandra Holder, his children: Jody Smith Hardin, Todd Smith (Lisa), Melissa Lomax (Todd), his sister, Edna Jeanette Smith, his grandchildren: Ryan Smith (Tanicia), Andrea Phillips (Justin), Kayla Lomax, Tanner Lomax, Nikki Smith, Laural Hardin, and Tyler Smith, along with five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, July 7, 2023, at First Christian Church of King.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 8, 2023, at 4:00 PM at First Christian Church of King, with Ministers Glenn Van Meter, Peter Cain, and Max Mason officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Flowers are appreciated or memorial donations may be made to The American Heart Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
