King – Kenneth Leon Burrow, 82, of King, NC, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022.
Mr. Burrow was born on September 27, 1939, in Stokes County, NC, to the late Homer L. and Irene Kiger Burrow. He was the widower of Beck Fagg Burrow. He retired from Sara Lee. He was a member of Poplar Springs Christian Church and the American Legion Post 290, in King. He was a US Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam era. He was an avid turkey and deer hunter.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Kevin Joel Burrow; a grandson, Kevin Joel Burrow; a sister, Carolyn Maltais; a brother, James Burrow; a brother-in-law, Jacob Cranford; and a sister-in-law, Sarah Burrow.
Left to cherish his memory is his son, Jonathan Burrow (Crystal); eight grandchildren: Cody Merritt (Caitlyn), Zackary Burrow, Hunter Burrow, Owen Burrow, Wyatt Burrow, Breanna Dodson, Tyler Dodson, and Nate Hooker; his great grandson, Chandler Merritt; his sister, Berniece Cranford; a brother, Doulas W. Burrow (JoAnn); and brother-in-law, Robert Maltais; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Jimmy Johnson.
The family wishes to extend a special “thank you” to King Dialysis Center for their care and kindness.
The family will receive friends and loved ones from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, at Slate Funeral Home in King.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Poplar Springs Christian Church with Minister Don Wallace officiating.
