Rural Hall – Kenneth Lee Stewart, 74, of Rural Hall, NC passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at his home.
Mr. Stewart was born on April 28, 1948, in Forsyth County, NC to the late Cyril Stewart and Mozelle Merritt Stewart who survives. He was a US Army Veteran and was a member of the America Legion Post 290 in King. He was a member of Poplar Springs Christian Church. He enjoyed the out of doors and loved spending time at Belew’s Creek and teaching people to water ski. He loved fishing especially surf fishing and taking care of his cattle.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Mike Butner.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Joan Gibson Stewart; his son, Travis Stewart, and wife Karlie; two brothers: Donald Stewart and wife Deni, and David Stewart and wife Ruth, a sister, Kathy Butner, his mother, Mozelle Stewart; his grandchildren: Ethan and Cyrus Stewart; and his best friends, David, and Cindy Pearson.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, June 25, 2022, at Poplar Springs Christian Church with Minister Griffin Gilstrap and Minister Don Wallace officiating.
