Kenneth "Ken" Lee McKinney

Kenneth Lee “Ken” McKinney, 75, of Westfield, NC, passed away on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center, going home to his heavenly Father.

Ken was born in Forsyth County, NC, to the late Robert Baxter and Delia Bennett McKinney on November 27, 1949. He was a painter by profession. If you knew Ken, you knew him as a free spirit; he loved Jesus and always kept his Bible close by. He never met a stranger — Ken was a friend to everyone he encountered. With Ken, “Life was a wild ride.”

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sadie McKinney, his brother, Wendell McKinney, and many other beloved family members.

Left to cherish his memory are his sister-in-law, Annie McKinney; a niece, Melissa McKinney Wood and husband Brock; two nephews: Robert McKinney and wife Jerri, and Bradley McKinney and wife Krystal; along with four great nephews: Isaac Wood, Jamison Wood, Case McKinney, and Mack McKinney.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Boyles Chapel Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Rodney Marshall officiating.
