Larry Gray Gough

Larry Gray Gough,78, of King, NC passed away on Sunday December 28, 2025, at Village Care of King.

Born in Forsyth County he was the son of the late Spencer and Juanita Vermillion Gough and was preceded in death by his wife of 44 years Shelvia Meadows Gough and son Jimmy Hauser. He attended Calvary Baptist Church was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and was retired from Omni Source Metal Recyclers in Kernersville, NC. He also loved Wake Forest Athletics and was an avid fan.

Left to cherish his memory is his son Jeff Gough and wife Maria of Spring, TX, daughters Kim Smith and husband Mark of Newton, NC and Kathy Shelton and husband Mike of Walnut Cove, NC and son; Kevin Hauser and wife Pam of King, NC. Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and a sister-in-law Kathy Southern and husband Lloyd of Winston Salem, NC

A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, January 3, 2026, in the chapel of Slate Funeral Home in King.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Calvary Baptist Church 536 S. Main Street King, NC 27021.
