Larry Wayne Hall

Larry Wayne Hall, 84, of King passed away unexpectedly on Saturday April 26, 2025, at Grand Strand Medical Center in Myrtle Beach, SC.

Born in Stokes County he was the son of the late Edgar Odell and Rheba Smith Hall, and widower of the late Carol Jean Burchette Hall.

Mr. Hall was the owner/operator of Accounting Machine Systems in Fuquay Varina, NC and former owner of the Raleigh Bullfrogs minor league Basketball Franchise. Larry was a graduate of King High School, member of Capella Church of Christ, Sauratown Volunteer Fire Department Station 38. Larry and Carol Funded two perpetual scholarships to NC State University, Larry was a lifetime member of the NC State Wolfpack Club also he and Carol held the record for attending the most consecutive (326) NCSU home and away games by a couple.

Left to cherish his memory is his aunt, Virginia Smith and many cousins.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Thursday May 1, 2025, from 6:00 -8:00pm at Slate Funeral Home in King, NC.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm, Friday May 2, 2025, in the chapel of Slate Funeral Home with Minister Donald Davis officiating, Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park, Rural Hall, NC.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Capella Church of Christ, 1187 Flat Shoals Rd. King, NC 27021, or to the Saura Town Volunteer Fire Department, 4578 NC 66 Highway South King, NC 27021.
