Larry William Lawson

Larry William Lawson, 74, of Advance, NC, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, surrounded by his beloved family.

Mr. Lawson was born in Forsyth County, NC, on January 3, 1951, to the late Wallace Lawson and Verta Gordon Lawson Cain. He was a member of Pinnacle Baptist Church. He was a very social person who loved spending time with his family and playing cards. He has a sweet tooth and would often indulge in his favorite treats.

In the words of his son, Terry, he was a wonderful father, grandfather, husband, and friend. He was always so proud of me and my accomplishments and adored my loving wife and his granddaughters with all of his heart. His presence will be missed dearly but certainly not forgotten.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ayers Lawson, and his siblings, Gary Lawson, Don Lawson, and Carol Lawson.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Terry Lawson, and his wife, Kelly, as well as his grandchildren, Cara Lawson and Lydia Lambeth.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 12:30 p.m. to 1:45 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Pinnacle Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Jerry Horne officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery.
