Larry Dale Spencer

Larry Dale Spencer, 53, of King, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at his home.

Larry was born in Surry County, NC, on June 19, 1972, to the late Larry Douglas Spencer and Barbara Gayle Wood Spencer, who survives. Larry was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a talented artist who enjoyed drawing, he loved to fish and hunt, and play poker, but his greatest joy in life was his family, his wife, his children, and his beloved grandchildren, whom he would spend countless hours playing with.

Larry will live in the hearts of his family forever, and his memory will never be forgotten by his wife of 32 years, Patsy Pack Spencer, his mother, Barbara Wood Spencer, his children: Cody Dalton Spencer, Corey Dustin Spencer, Amy Lee Spencer, and Allie Laikyn Spencer; grandchildren: Paetyn Duncan, Garrett Duncan, Alana Smith, and Nala Hopkins; sisters, Tina Gail Bryant (Tim) and children, and Tammy Lynn Spencer (Brian) and children; father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Barbara Pack, a brother-in-law, Scottie Pack (Lora), and a sister-in-law, Brenda Moorefield and her family; cousins: David Anderson James, Wendy Wooten and Mallie Ann Hinshaw, and a young man and young woman that were like of his own children, Scottie Pack Jr; and Patsy Pack; along with his furbaby, Millie, and other special family and friends.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Larry Douglas Spencer; his grandfather, Aaron Anderson Spencer; a sister-in-law, Becky Pack; and a special friend, Mike Weldner.

The family will celebrate Larry’s life on June 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at 2877 Mountain View Dr., Germanton, NC.
