Lewis "Frankie" Franklin Gregory, Jr.

Lewis Franklin “Frankie” Gregory, Jr. 75 of King, NC passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, at his home.

Frankie was born on November 16, 1947, in Forsyth County, NC, to the late Lewis Franklin and Pearl Renigar Gregory. He attended North Davidson High School in Welcome, NC. He was a heavy equipment operator in the construction business, he enjoyed bowling, and he loved the Lord. He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sheryl Gregory James of Lexington, NC, one nephew, Darrell Shoaf, and a brother-in-law, Jim Shoaf, Sr.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Nancy Duggins Gregory: his children: Michelle Myers and husband Jimmy of Welcome, NC, and Kimberly Rivers and husband John of Mocksville, NC; his granddaughter, Jasmine Rivers of Mocksville, NC; his siblings: Denise Black and husband Ken of Welcome, NC, Gail Shoaf of Advance, NC, David Gregory and wife Sara of King, NC, and Mark Gregory and wife Carolyn of Lexington, NC; his nieces and nephews: Jim Shoaf and wife Julie of Lexington, NC. Dawn Paris and husband Maurice, David Gregory, Jr and wife Erica of VA, Deitra Eanes and husband Aaron of Lexington, NC, Alicia Harris and husband Jeff of Westfield, NC, along with other loving nieces and nephews, his loving dog, Pepper Ace, and many close family and friends.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 2:30 pm until 3:45 PM, Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Slate Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 4:00 PM with Rev. Jimmy Myers officiating.
