Lillian Ruth (Lowery) Woods

Lillian Ruth Lowery Woods, 86, of Rural Hall, NC, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her sons, whom she cherished and adored.

Lillian was born in Wake County, NC, on August 1, 1939, to the late Averige and Livian Harrison Lowery.  She retired from Integon Forsyth Medical Center, where she worked tirelessly as a medical claims processor. Her pecan pies and pound cakes made others envious and ask for the recipe, which she never shared except her son. She was a faithful member of Antioch United Methodist Church in Rural Hall, and she was a beloved Mother, Sister, and Sister-In-Law.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, Averige and Livian Lowery; her beloved husband, Robert Woods; two sisters: Joyce Taumaivale, and Patsy Goodwin; a brother, Randy Lowery; and a brother-in-law, Crawford Fuller.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons: Dean Woods and Keith Woods (Mimi); two brothers: Ted and Steve Lowery and their wives and children; a sister-in-law, Kaye Fuller, her buddy, Claude the Cat; and several cousins and other family members.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Antioch United Methodist Church, with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Rev. Pat Dixon. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall.
