Linda Goss Barton, a beacon of love and faith, passed away peacefully on October 25, 2024, at the age of 72. She is now in the loving arms of Jesus. Born on September 27, 1952, Linda's life was a testament to the power of kindness and devotion.
Linda's journey began as a cherished sister to Patsy Goss and evolved beautifully as she became the loving wife of Robert Barton. Together, they built a family with daughters Christine Hale and her husband Dallas and Rachel Barton. Her love multiplied with the arrival of her grandchildren, Aleigha, Alexis, Alexander, and Alaina, who filled her days with laughter and purpose.
Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her family as she dedicated countless hours to the nursery at her church and taught Sunday School. Linda's love knew no bounds, and she embraced all the children in her care as if they were her own. Her unwavering faith and loving nature were the cornerstones of her life, guiding her actions and inspiring those around her.
Linda's legacy is one of unconditional love and steadfast faith. She was the heart of her family, a guiding light in her community, and a friend to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive through the lives of those she touched.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday October 29, 2024 from 5pm-7pm at Woodland Baptist Church. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday October 30, 2024 at 11am at Woodland Baptist Church. Burial will follow in King Memorial Park.
