Linda Faye (Edwards) Marshall

Linda Faye Edwards Marshall, 77, of Rural Hall, NC, passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022, at her home with her beloved family by her side.

Mrs. Marshall was born October 15, 1945, in Surry County, NC to the late William “Ray” and Mary Jenny Philips Edwards; she was a loving, and patient daughter. Linda was the faithful and loving wife to James Calvin Marshall for fifty-seven years.  She was a faithful and devoted member of Woodland Baptist Church.

  In 1969, Linda accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior, she gave her heart and life to Him. She cherished the time she spent reading her Bible and praying. She loved serving in church alongside many special friends she made along the way.  She loved flowers and gardening, shopping, and giving gifts; especially giving to her children and grandchildren on Christmas day.  She loved her family and all extended family.  She never met a stranger and topics of conversation were never a problem.

Linda always made a point of spending time with her grandchildren on their birthdays, and yes, she would give them gifts, but her grandchildren especially enjoyed the special time spent with Grandma, a memory they will always cherish.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jacque Spaugh.

Linda is survived by her husband, James Marshall. She was a devoted, generous, and praying Mom to her daughter, Sherri Marshall Blanton (Brent); and two sons, Nathaniel James Marshall (Wendy), and Philip Z. Marshall (Jocelyn). She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Caleb Blanton (Caroline), Kalie Blanton, Cory Blanton, Trinity Marshall, Jayce Marshall, Abel Marshall, Nathan Marshall, Alli Marshall, and Belle Marshall; and a great granddaughter, Elly James Blanton. She was a thoughtful and caring sister to Shelia Wilson (Larry); and to her brothers: Twin brother, Teddy Edwards (Veneta), Phil Edwards (Louise), and Dallas Edwards (Barbara). May her memory be eternal with her many beloved nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm, on Saturday, December 10, 2022, at Woodland Baptist Church: 1175 Bethania - Rural Hall Rd. Winston-Salem, NC.  Funeral services will begin at 12:00 pm with Pastor Tim Gammons, Pastor Roger Baker, and Pastor Mark Leone officiating.  Interment will immediately follow at Crestview Memorial Park: 6850 University Parkway Rural Hall, NC.
