Lynn (Armstrong) Walker

Lynn Armstrong Walker, 72, of Tobaccoville, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at her home.

Lynn was born on October 5, 1951, in Charleston, SC, to the late Mahlon “Pete” and Florence Schutzman Armstrong. She retired from the Pepsi Bottling Company, where she worked in accounts receivable. Following her retirement, she worked as a valued employee of Walmart in King, NC. She was a member of Living Word Fellowship.

Lynn was not just a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister but the very embodiment of love and warmth in her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 48 years, Terry O’Dell Walker, a son-in-law, Brice Gause, and a brother, Mike Armstrong.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Tommy Walker (Nikki), three daughters, Micki Howard (John), Jessie Messer (Keith), and Ashley Walker Gause; four brothers, John, David, Rob (Kim) and Jim (Stacy) Armstrong; two sisters, Dee Scognamillo and Pat Nelson; and her grandchildren, Kourtney Rominger (Mason), Ethan Styles, Chloe Walker, Dalton Messer, Leila Howard, Karter Messer, Lilly Walker, Ciarra Howard, Cooper Walker, and Lyncoln Messer; and great-grandchildren, Allister and Dage Rominger.

The family will receive friends and loved ones at Slate Funeral Home on Sunday, August 4, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, August 5, 2024, at Slate Funeral Home, with Pastor David Frankenfield officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.
