Mark Anthony Spainhour

Mark Anthony Spainhour, 67, of Sanford, formerly of King passed away Monday, April 3, 2023, at Sanford Health and Rehabilitation surrounded by his loved ones.

Mark was born on February 4, 1956, in Forsyth County, NC to the late W. Oscar Spainhour and Ruth (Campbell) Spainhour and was preceded in death by his brother Ronnie Spainhour.

Mark was a proud US Army Veteran, serving in Vietnam from 1974-1975. Mark attended Mt. Olive Baptist Church. He worked as a laborer in the landscaping industry. Mark also belonged to several wonderful organizations: The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), the American Legion, and the Disabled American Veterans organization.

Left to Cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife, Pamela (Turner) Spainhour; 1 son, 3 grandchildren, 3 stepsons, 3 step-grandchildren, and several cousins.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday. April 10, 2023, at the Mount Olive Cemetery, with Rev. Bryan Gough officiating. The Family expresses gratitude to Gentiva Hospice of Sanford and Sanford Health and Rehabilitation.
