Mary Blanche Crigger

Mary Blanche Blackmon Crigger, 80, of King, North Carolina, peacefully passed away on June 4, 2026, at Forsyth Medical Center, surrounded by her family.

Mary was born on October 13, 1945, near Mobile, Alabama. She attended Bluefield High School in West Virginia in 1965, where she met her lifelong husband, Jerry Crigger. The two moved to Winston-Salem, then shortly after to King, North Carolina, and married on April 14, 1965. Most of her life, she spent as a homemaker, helping others as an in-home nurse, and aiding her own family, managing the home when her husband was at work. When not working, she enjoyed attending her kids’ and grandkids’ sporting events and music concerts. Mary loved to travel, cook, complete word searches, take pictures, go camping, and spend time with her family.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Rosalie and Clyde; her loving husband, Jerry; her sister, Rita; and her daughter, Sherry.

She is survived by her three children: Terry, Sandra (Herbie) Tackett, and Pam (Chris) Semmens, and four grandchildren: Brianna (Matthew) Walthall, Corbin (Kayla) Tackett, and Chloe and Jacob Hooker, her sister Shirley Workman and brother Elmo Blackmon, She is also survived by two great-grandchildren: Hudson and Haven Tackett, and a bonus great-grandchild, Bryer.

A funeral service will be held at Macedonia Baptist Church on Monday, June 8, at 11 AM family will receive friends after the funeral.
