Rural Hall – Melissa Elaina Butner Griffith, 51, of Rural Hall, NC, passed away at her home unexpectedly on Sunday, June 6, 2021.

Melissa was born on June 9, 1969, in Yadkin County, NC to the late Michael Dale and Carol Jean Butner. Melissa was a member of New Birth Baptist Church; she loved her family and her pets and loved traveling to the mountains and the beach.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Shawn Christopher Griffith; her stepson, Michael Lee Griffith; her sister, Melinda Smith (Tommy); and her brother, Michael Dale Butner, Jr. (Laura).
