Michael Gray Barber

Pinnacle – Michael Gray Barber, 46, of Pinnacle passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 4, 2020.

Mike was born on October 3, 1973, in Forsyth County to Grady and Glenda McHone Barber.  He was a carpenter by trade and loved woodworking.  He also enjoyed fishing, playing his guitar, camping, and floating down the river. 

Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Betty Jean Shaw Barber, his parents, Grady and Glenda Barber, two sisters: Sherrie Lee Shaw (David) and Amanda Gail Cagle (Jason), a brother, Ricky Dean Barber (Sharon), several nieces and nephews and his special friend, Bart Matney.

The family will receive friends and loved ones Sunday, August 9, 2020 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Slate Funeral Home in King, NC.  A graveside service will follow at 3:00 PM at Mount Pleasant United Methodist Church Cemetery, 8710 Meadowbrook Dr. Tobaccoville, NC.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Michael Gray Barber Memorial Fund at any BB&T branch.
