Michael Keith Booth

Westfield – Michael Keith Booth, 70, of Westfield, NC passed away on Friday, October 13, 2023, at Forsyth Medical Center, after a brief illness.

Michael was born in Forsyth County, NC, on March 21, 1953, to the late Palmar Willie “Hoogie” Booth, and Peggy Ann Taylor Booth who survives. He retired from R. J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, after forty years.

Michael was an avid outdoorsman, he loved fishing and hunting, he was an Eagle Scout, and was a member of the National Rifle Association and the National Muzzleloaders Association. He was also an avid Red Sox fan and Wood Brothers Racing fan. Michael was of the Primitive Baptist Faith.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Elijah and Elizabeth Taylor, and Nora and Walter Jackson Booth.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife of forty-two years, Debbie Spillman Booth; three daughters: Tina Denise Booth Plunkett (Walter), Tara Elise Booth Nunn (Dustin Pyrtle), and Tessa Dawn Booth Collins (Phillip); a son, Travis Michael Booth (Breanna); his mother, Peggy Ann Taylor Booth; a brother, Rodney Taylor Booth; a sister, Elizabeth Ann Newsom (Tommy); nine grandchildren: Trent, Alexis, Jonathan, Savannah, Reid, Riley, Mikah, Lily and Blake, along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, on Monday, October 16, 2023, at Slate Funeral Home in King.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Slate Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Paschal and Elder Jeff Whitaker officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Falls Primitive Baptist Church, Moore Springs, NC.
