Mildred Virginia (Sumner) Martin

Mildred Virginia Martin, 78, of King, NC passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at SECU Hospice Center in Yadkinville, NC. 

Ms. Martin was born on March 12, 1944, in Hillsville, VA, to the late Lemuel Dewey and Amanda Wilson Sumner.  She was a member of Old Time Baptist Church.  She was a homemaker, and dearly loved her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Carroll Eastham Martin; her son, Gary Wayne Martin; and her siblings: Mazie Akers, Sylvia Phillips, Shirley Nester, Russell Sumner, Ray Sumner, Roger Sumner, and Marshall Sumner.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Glenn Martin, and wife Carolene; and her grandchildren: Sarah and Rebekah.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at the Wilson Family Cemetery in Hillsville, VA with Rev. Tommy Holder officiating.
