Mildred (Dimont) Smith

Mildred Dimont Smith, 90, of King, NC, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center.

Mrs. Smith was born in Alamance County, NC, on September 20, 1935, to the late Richard Roy and Ruth Bryant Dimont. She was a member of the Rock Church and worked as an LPN at Alamance County Hospital. She had several hobbies, including crocheting and knitting, family game nights, playing cards, and taking vacations with her beloved family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 67 wonderful years, Johnnie Hubert Smith, 4 infant siblings, her children: H. Douglas Smith, and Melba S. Fogleman, a daughter-in-law, Alesia R. Smith, grandchildren: Buddy Hamlett and Tommy Fogleman, her grandchildren-in-law, Bruce Kennedy and Sam Rule.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Pamela Wrenn (J.V.), son-in-law, Wayne Fogleman, grandchildren: Pam Fogleman, Mickey Wrenn (Betsy), Bonnie Raver, Angel Kennedy-Hudson (Chris), Amanda Rule, Tiffany Easter (Brian), great grandchildren: Christy Jones, Evan Charles (Samantha), Autumn Butner, Justin Raver, Travis Kennedy (Kernix), Caleb Wrenn, Kaitlin Ganey (Seth), Tyler Kennedy, Joshua Wrenn, Samantha Rule, Eli Easter, Buddy J. Rule, Jaxson Kennedy, and Dalton Easter, along with several great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at Slate Funeral Home in King, NC.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, at Bethlehem Christian Church Cemetery with Rev. Johnny Roberts officiating.
