Mildred Tolley

Rural Hall – Mildred Tolley, 89, of Rural Hall passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, at Village Care of King.

Ms. Tolley was a Christian, loved attending church and singing. She was an avid reader, she loved her cats, and was a loving caregiver to her special needs son.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Bristow, two sons: Milton and Chris Hawks, a brother, Tommy Hull, and great-grandchildren: Brandon Hawks and Alyssa Colvill.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Dwayne Hawks, Jeffrey Tolley, and Carolyn Winfrey; her grandchildren: Brittany, Brianna (Dee), Mitchell (Brittany), Brandy, Megan, and Christina (Daniel); twelve great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild, and a sister-in-law, Pete Hull.

A memorial service to honor Mildred will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at Slate Funeral Home.
