Mozelle (Blackburn) Cheek

King – Mozelle Blackburn Cheek, 92, of King, NC passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2020, at Village Care of King.

Mozelle was born on August 6, 1927, in Wilkes County to Charlie and Ida Childress Blackburn; she was the last of fourteen children.  She was married to the late James Dewitt Cheek for fifty-two wonderful years.  Mozelle retired as a Certified Nursing Assistant with Forsyth County Public Health Department, was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church, and she loved to read.

Left to cherish her memory is her granddaughter, Carol Senter, and two great-grandchildren: Dalton Senter and Hannah Senter.

A private graveside service will be held at Pleasant Home Baptist Church Cemetery: 2253 Byrd Rd. Roaring River, NC, with Elder Jeffrey Whitaker officiating.
