Norma Lee (Boyles) Edwards

Norma Lee Boyles Edwards, 91, passed away on July 12, 2024, surrounded by her family at Clemmons Village in Clemmons, NC.

Born in Stokes County, she was the daughter of the late Curtis Carroll and Fannie Preston Boyles and the widow of the late Billy Lee Edwards. Mrs. Edwards was also preceded in death by her brothers, Marshall and Billy Boyles, sisters-in-law Jeanette Boyles and Lucy Boyles, and brother-in-law Marcus Wall. She was a member of Chestnut Grove Church, where she was active in fundraising projects. Norma enjoyed flower gardening and baking.

Left to cherish her memories are son Robert Barry Edwards and wife Dora; daughter Denise Helms and husband Barry; son Kyle Edwards and wife Jennifer; sister Betty Wall and brother James Boyles. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Brock Wheeler and fiancée Ericka, Lindsay Blevins, Austin Edwards and Jessica, Kayla Wyatt and husband Corey, Abby Edwards, and Zack Edwards; great-grandchildren Carson, Carter, and Carlington Wheeler and Nora Blevins, along with sisters in law Isabelle Boyles, and Hope Edwards

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 15, 2024, at Chestnut Grove Church in King, NC, with Revs. Gerald Jones and Clifford Wall officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends and loved ones following the interment in the church fellowship hall. Mrs. Edwards will lie in state in the church prior to the service from 1:00 - 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be made to Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane Winston Salem, NC 27103, or to Chestnut Grove Church, 1024 Volunteer Rd. King, NC 27021.
