Pamela Kay (Link) Southern

Pamela Kay Link Southern, 65, of King, NC, passed away unexpectedly on August 13, 2022, at her home.

Pamela was born on January 26, 1957, in Columbus, OH, to the late Ansell Ray and Jane Horne Link. Pamela was a very talented artist, and she had a passion in art. Pamela was a schoolteacher and nurse for many years and loved helping anyone she could. She always had a very big heart and was always a shoulder to cry on for anyone. She would do anything to put a smile on someone’s face, especially her grandchildren. She was a huge Elvis fan, and never let anyone forget it. Pamela was a woman of God of unwavering faith. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Borne; and a brother-in-law, Kenny Sutherland.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters: Tanya Martin, and Lisa Belcher; her grandchildren: Sydney Ramirez, Austin Lail, Christan Cornwell, Amber George, and Katlin George; a sister, Tina Sutherland; a brother, Kim Jay Link; and six great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 6:00pm until 7:00pm on Friday, August 19, 2022, at Slate Funeral Home.  Funeral services will begin at 7:00pm.
