Patricia Tomberlin (Tomberlin) Lane

Patricia "Pat" Tomberlin Lane, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away in Winston Salem, NC, leaving a legacy of courage and joy. Pat, born to the late James Paiden Tomberlin and Margaret Troupe Tomberlin, was predeceased by her devoted husband, Gerald Lane.

Her love for family shone brightly through her relationships with her daughter Tanya Gakeler (Dan), stepdaughters Cricket Hughes and Anita Higdon, as well as her cherished six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Pat's vibrant spirit blossomed in her adoration of Christmas, delighting in the magic of the season through festive decorations.

Known for her shopping prowess, especially on QVC, she found joy in the simple pleasures of life including the companionship of her beloved dog Sofie, whom she enjoyed taking for rides. Pat's indomitable spirit and enduring warmth are fondly remembered. Her dear friend Haven Smith, among many, will miss her deeply.

The family will receive friends from 1:00- 2:00pm on Monday November 25, 2024, at Slate Funeral Home followed by graveside funeral services beginning at 2:00pm in the Boyles Chapel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
