Patricia Ann (Arnold) Sawtelle

Patricia Ann Sawtelle of King, NC passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2025. “Pat” was born to Edwin and Ruth Knox Arnold on July 26,1943 in Winthrop, Massachusetts.  There, she completed high school and started her family.  Professionally, Pat served as an administrative assistant, and her efficiency was evident in the office and at home. 

Pat loved her family and her friends.  She enjoyed spending time with her children and their families, and she always looked forward to shopping and dining out with “the girls”.   Additionally, animals held a huge place in her heart.  Since retirement, she spent much of her time raising Corgis and Schnauzers, and watching equestrian events. 

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, Murray Sawtelle. She is survived by their five children: Alison Allen (John) of Celebration, FL, Stacey Sawtelle (Bill Cox) of Chester, NH, Butch Sawtelle (Nancy) of Kernersville, Ron Zeuli (Stephanie) of Raleigh, and Bob Sawtelle of Winston-Salem; grandchildren Ashley Webb (Justyn), Nathan Allen (Samantha Howard), Ryan Casey, Sean Casey (Jesseny), Michael Sawtelle (Macy), Kathleen Pruitt (Coulter), Thomas Sawtelle (Morgan Akins), Brittany Jones (Cody), Conner Zeuli (Emily Cochran), Shelby Zeuli, Saby Pettus, Mason Sawtelle (Emily Hanlin), and Sarah Sawtelle; and thirteen great-grandchildren.  Pat also leaves two sisters: Linda Jones of King, and Jan McCorison (Jim) of WA, two nieces and a nephew.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Pat was a devoted wife, mother, and friend, and she leaned on the Lord in every blessing and trial that came her way.  She concluded her earthly life after 82 years, four months, and twenty days.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Laurel Ridge Moravian Camp & Conference Center (124 Pendry Dr.; Laurel Springs, NC 28644; laurelridge.org) or to the organization of the donor’s choice.
