Rachel Elaine (James) Johnson

Rachel Elaine Johnson, 74, of King, NC passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at Walnut Cove Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Ms. Johnson was born June 23, 1948, to the late Robert Vestal James and Nellie Elizabeth Shinault. She loved gardening and canning the fruits of her labor. She dearly loved her family and her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death two sisters: Linda Faye James, and Judy Mae James.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Tanya Livengood (Shane), of King; two sons: Rodney Johnson (Tammy) of Westfield, and Mickey Johnson of Westfield; three granddaughters: Melissa Johnson of Graham, Shayna Flynt (Dawson) of King, and Kenzie Livengood of King; and three sisters: Mary Phipps, of King, Wanda Hutchens (Dan), of Winston-Salem, and Christy Johnson (Jimmy) of King.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm on Friday, September 30, 2022, at King Christian Center, 995 Brown Rd. King, NC.  Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM with Pastor Randall Smith officiating.  Interment will immediately follow at King Memorial Park.
