Raymond Rayford Pierce, Jr.

Raymond Rayford Pierce, Jr., 71, of Wilkesboro, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at King Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Mr. Pierce was born on May 2, 1954, in Wilkes County, NC, to the late Raymond Rayford and Elsie Roten Pierce. He retired from Raymond Pierce Trucking and previously owned RJ Auto Parts in Hayes and Wilkesboro, as well as the Mobile Service Station in N. Wilkesboro. Raymond loved fishing and watching old westerns. He also enjoyed spending time working on older muscle cars.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Ann Pierce, and his sister, Gayle Combs.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, James Ray Pierce (Shanon), his daughter, Amanda Dawn Pierce, his grandchildren: Lauren Pierce, Seth Pierce, Hayden Wilmouth, and Hailei Wilmouth, a sister, Pam Byers (Rex), two sisters-in-law: Betty Haynes (Don), and Linda Lovette, a brother-in-law, Jim Combs; along with several nieces, nephews and family members.  

Mr. Pierce requested that no formal service be held; please remember him and his family in your prayers.
