King – Richard Gene Vaughn, 77, passed away Saturday, April 3, 2021.

Richard was born on June 26, 1943 in Surry County, NC to the late Richard Carson Vaughn and Nannie Tilley Vaughn Boles. He was also preceded in death by his step father Henry Boles and step brother Donald Boles. Prior to retirement he was a long-distance independent truck driver in commercial trucking.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of forty years, Nola Warren Vaughn; his sons: Ricky Vaughn (Linda), Randy Vaughn; stepdaughter: Terri Fowler (John Elmore), brother; Mark Vaughn, sisters; Cathy Nail (Chris), Dinah Lynn Vaughn, step brother; Bobby Boles, grandchildren: Chris Vaughn (Candaice), Rhett Jackson Vaughn; step grandchildren; Misty Bobby, Sandra Tompkins, Matthew Fowler (Katie), Meghan Cope (Aaron), Mollie McDowell (Brandon); great grandchildren: Bailey Vaughn and Brinley Vaughn; step great grandchildren: Cameron, Ross, Bobby, Joe, Kenneth, Aubrey Kate Fowler, and Annie Elizabeth McDowell.

The family would like to give a special thank you to sister-in-law Linda Tuttle for her love and care during this past year.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
