Robert Craig Ashburn

Robert Craig Ashburn, 62, of King, NC, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 5, 2025, at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC.

Craig was born in Stokes County, NC, on December 18, 1962, to the late Clyde Edwin “Ed” and Mary Lee Wall Ashburn. He was a member of Friendly Chapel Church, a lover of Southern Gospel Music, and a faithful servant of his Savior Jesus Christ.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Wayne Ashburn.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved, faithful, and devoted wife, Rikki Duggins Ashburn; his brother, Rick Ashburn; and wife, Dee, along with many other beloved family members and close friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Slate Funeral Home with Dr. Brent Mayes officiating. The family will briefly receive friends and family following the service. A private interment will be held at King Community Church.
