Robert Howard Phillips

Robert Howard Phillips, 92, of King, NC passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Woltz Hospice House in Dobson, NC.

Mr. Phillips was born on January 31, 1930, in Forsyth County, NC, to the late William and Annie Belton Phillips. He retired from R.J. Reynold Tobacco Company.  In addition to working at Reynolds he owned and operated a successful wallpapering business for over thirty years, which was his passion.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Robert Phillips, Jr. and a brother, Jack Phillips. 

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters: Rebecca Smith (Johnny), and Christie Smith; his son, Ricky Phillips; a sister, Peggy Ann Dean (Joe); and grandchildren: Deanna Cronkovich, Greg Phillips, Bridget Marsh, Brenda Marsh, Brandon Marsh, Charlie Phillips, and Ashley Talley; along with ten great grandchildren.

The family wished to extend a special gratitude to all of his sitters and caretakers over the last three years.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at Woodlands Cemetery 3123 Indiana Ave. Winston Salem, NC.
