Robert “Bobby” Douglas Ortiz, 60 of King, NC passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, September 20, 2023.

Mr. Ortiz was born on August 17, 1963, in Hartford, CT.  He loved donuts but he loved his grandchildren more. His family was everything to him. Bobby never met a stranger and was very outgoing. He enjoyed spending time with his family and would do anything for anyone. He had a heart of gold.

Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Sheila Haynes Ortiz; his three daughters: Shenna Ortiz (Willie Hilterbrand), Sheri Nobles (Chad), and Shawna Ortiz; five grandchildren: Breana Ortiz and friend R.J. Moorefield, Shayla Hilterbrand, Joshua Ortiz, Harley Nobles, and Nataleigh Huffman; and his cats: Oreo and Baby Girl.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Slate Funeral Home in King, NC.
