Tobaccoville – Rodney Dean Collins, 62, of Tobaccoville, NC, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at his home surrounded by those he loved dearly.
Rodney was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Betty Collins, a sister, Debbie Nelson, and a brother, Donnie Collins.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 26 years, Dorena Collins, a son, Jesse Collins (Amber); a daughter, Heather Collins, his special grandson; “forever his buddy” Kash Collins; siblings, Keith Collins (Mary), Bobby Collins, Karen Vestal and Janet Wright (Allen), a special nephew, Bryan Newman (Sherry), many nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as his father-in-law, Don Adams, who will miss his helping hand during the annual chicken stews and other family gatherings.
He will be missed by all who knew him. We will miss his straightforward nature, his willingness to help anyone, his sense of humor, and especially his laugh.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
