Roger Lee Whitaker

Winston-Salem – Roger Lee Whitaker, 62, of Winston-Salem passed away on Friday, May 12, 2023, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice House.

Mr. Whitaker was born in Guilford County, NC, on September 5, 1960, to the late Wayne and Betty Logan Whitaker. He was retired from Web-Don, Inc.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Eleanor Jean Whitaker, a brother Billy Whitaker, and a sister, Ann Woods.

Left to cherish his memory are his three sisters: Hilda Marion, Gilda Marion, and husband Hassell, and Rebecca Finney; and his brother, Danny Whitaker; along with several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Wednesday, May 17, 2023, at Slate Funeral Home in King, NC.  Funeral Services will begin at 12:00 PM in the Slate Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Thompson officiating. Entombment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Walkertown, NC.
