Obituary
Roy Branley Newsome, 72, passed away unexpectedly at his home on September 13, 2023.
Born in Stokes County, NC he was the son of the late Ollie Ray and Stella Craddock Newsome. Mr. Newsome served in the United States Marine Corps for 22 years including 2 tours of Vietnam before retiring as a first Seargeant, Roy oved being outdoors and living the farm life. Besides his mother and father, he was preceded in death by his son Roy Branley Newsome, JR, brother, Jimmy Ray Newsome and sister, JoAnn.
Left to cherish his memories are his brothers, David Lee Newsome, Robert Wayne Newsome, Ricky Dean Newsome and wife Julie and Donald Ray Newsome, also sisters, Susan Jane Forrester and Judy Kay Roberson and husband Randy and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 3:00pm on Tuesday September 19, 2023, in the King First Christian Church Cemetery.
