Sandra (Spainhour) Cox

Sandra Spainhour Cox, 75, of Tobaccoville, passed away peacefully at Forsyth Medical Center on Saturday, November 15, 2025.

She was born June 6, 1950, to the late W.E. Spainhour, Jr., and Betty Culler Spainhour. She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed crafts and spending time with family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Danny Clark Cox, and a brother, Christopher William Spainhour. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Teresa Michelle Cox; brother, Gregory Lee Spainhour; and nephew, Austen Lee Spainhour, as well as many cousins and friends.

The family would like to thank the cardiac ICU, Palliative and Hospice team at Forsyth Medical Center for their care and compassion.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Slate Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Albert Angel officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the King Mission Baptist Cemetery.
