Sarah Inez (Jester) Parrish

Sarah Inez Jester Parrish, 78, of King, NC, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2022, at her home. 

Sarah was born on March 6, 1944, in Forsyth County, NC to the late David and Mozelle Moser Jester.  Sarah was a very precious, loving wife, sister, and aunt. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Stephen and Ira Jester (Lucille), two nieces: Nikki and Tammy Jester and a great niece Tatum Welborn.

Left to cherish her memory is her beloved and devoted husband J.R. Parrish, Jr.;  her brother, Ronald D. Jester and wife Deanna; two sisters: Norma J. Joyner and husband Ronald, and Sybil J. Joyner and partner Damon Pope; nieces and nephews:  Kristi Welborn (Dusty), Michael Jester (Joanna), David Jester (Monica),  Patricia Jester Ritchie, Brock Parrish (Layla), Corey Parrish, and Robert Wagner (Lori); great nieces: Caroline, Laura, and Jenna Jester, Dakota and Willow Parrish: great nephews:  Tristan Jester, Tanner and Tate Welborn Christopher Wolff, and Briggston Parrish, a very special friend, Marsha Marler; and her fur babies Yogi, Lilly, and Bella.  

The family would like to give special thanks to King Fire Department and Chaplain Rick Hughes of the City of King Police Department for all their care and support given to Mrs. Parrish before and after her death.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Slate Funeral Home. With Rev. Barry Brown officiating.
