Sherry (Mabe) Wiles

Sherry Mabe Wiles, 77, of King, NC, passed away after a prolonged battle with dementia while surrounded by her family at her home, on Sunday, February 9, 2025.

Mrs. Wiles was born on August 10, 1947, in Forsyth County, North Carolina, to the late Harvey Mabe and the late Martha Ragsdale Mabe. Sherry worked at the front desk of the Stokes County YMCA and was a devoted member of Poplar Springs Christian Church in King, North Carolina.

Left to cherish her memory is her devoted husband, Leo Wiles, of King, NC, and her loving children and son-in-law, Reagan Wiles of King, NC, Carmen Wiles Miller of Charlotte, NC, and Seth Miller of Charlotte, NC, as well as many loved family members and friends.

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Slate Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m., with Minister Chuck Bower officiating. Interment will immediately follow in King Memorial Park.
