Sue Phillips Marshall, named Michal by her grandmother, passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2024. She was born on April 19, 1942, to Richard H. Phillips and Mary Lee Modlin Phillips.
On February 12, 1958, she married the love of her life, Bobby Gene Marshall. For 54 years, they were always together. They both worked at E.L. She enjoyed making booties and hats for the preemies at Ronald McDonald House in Winston-Salem. She loved making small flower arrangements for the residents’ birthdays each month at Village Care in King.
She had no siblings and no children. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Margaret Marshall, and two dear friends, Toni Cromwell and Phil Roberson, who looked after her until the end. She loved animals and had many through the years.
At her request, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be officiated by Elders Rodney Marshall and Jeffery Whitaker at the Old Orchard Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 17, 2024.
