Tate Chrysikos Pinnix

Pilot Mountain – Tate Chrysikos Pinnix, 33, of Pilot Mountain, NC passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 8, 2023.

Tate was born in Forsyth County, NC to Debra (Chrysikos) Moore on December 5, 1989. He was a member of New Life Church in King and was employed with the NC Department of Transportation, he was also a member of the Pinnacle Lions Club.

Tate was a kind and loving person; he would help anyone with anything he could. He loved his family and friends. He would brighten any room he entered, and he never met a stranger. He enjoyed four wheeling, operating heavy equipment and digging in the dirt.

He was preceded in death by his uncle, Walt Summerville, and grandparents: Tim and Jackie Chrysikos.

Left to cherish his memory is his parents, Debra and David Moore, his fiancé, Bethany Fulp, his children by choice: Xana, Camden, and Chance, his brother, Jacob Pinnix, his aunts: Cheryl Summerville, Rita Epperson, and Pat, his uncle Chris Pinnix, his grandmother, Jane Menge, multiple cousins, and other family members; along with his close friends: Rick Pell and Robert Brooks and his special pets, Duke and Pete.  

The family will receive friends and loved ones from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Thursday, August 10, 2023, at Slate Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 11, 2023, at Slate Funeral Home with Rev. Rodney Matthews officiating. Interment will follow at New Life Church Cemetery.
