Ted Lawrence McKnight

Ted Lawrence McKnight, 81, of King, NC, passed away at his home on Sunday, September 22, 2024.

Mr. McKnight was born in Athens, OH, on April 13, 1943, to the late Clarence and Ruby Ashcraft McKnight. He was a member of Chestnut Grove Church. He was a stubborn man who did it his way, always reliable and dysfunctional like everyone else.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Carreen McKnight, Rex McKnight, and Eddie McKnight.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughter, April McKnight; two sons, Matthew McKnight and Mark McKnight; his grandchildren, Abby Cornelius, Charlie Williams (Will Meadows), Toni Davidson (Tye), Haylie Davis Roberts (Matthew), Cody McKnight, and Casee McKnight; two brothers, Ken McKnight and Ross McKnight (Janet); along with six great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends and loved ones at Slate Funeral Home from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Friday, September 27, 2024.
