Terry Odell Walker

Mr. Terry Odell Walker,71, of Tobaccoville, NC passed away on June 12, 2023, with his family by his side.

Born in Forsyth County, NC he was the son of the late John Clarence and Elgie Pope Walker and was preceded in death by his son in law; Brice Gause, sisters; Patricia Darlene Ball and Glenda Walker–Hicks, and brother-in-law; William Hicks.

Terry was retired from Wake Forest Baptist Hospital where he was employed as an engineer for 23 years. Terry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who gave of himself to others he loved animals, Little Debbie’s, and the remote.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 48 years Lynn Armstrong Walker, his son; Tommy Walker and his wife Nikki, Daughters; Micki Howard and husband John, Jessie Messer, and husband Keith, and Ashley Walker  Gause. Grandchildren; Kourtney Rominger and husband Mason, Ethan Styles, Chloe Walker, Dalton Messer, Leila Howard, Lilly Walker, Karter Messer, Ciarra Howard, Cooper Walker, and Lyncoln Messer great-grandchildren; Allister Rominger and Dage Rominger Many nieces nephews cousins, 4 brothers in laws, 2 sisters-in-law, many aunts, Uncles and fur babies Mason and Kiki.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Friday, June 16, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Slate Funeral Home in King, NC. Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 17, 2023, with the Rev. Bob Lindsay officiating. Interment will follow the service at Crestview Memorial Gardens in Rural Hall, NC. Slate Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Terry Odell Walker.
