Thomas W. Lemar, 80, of Supply, NC, where he lived for 26 years, formerly of Kernersville, NC, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at his home with his loved ones by his side.
Mr. Lemar was born on March 26, 1943, in Forsyth County, NC, to the late C R and Frances J. Lemar and was a graduate of Kernersville High School. Mr. Lemar was a member of Supply Baptist Church and retired from Roadway Express. Thomas was an amateur radio enthusiast for over 60 years; his call signs were K4JYH and W4ZU.
Left to cherish his memory is his beloved wife, Vickie L. Lemar; a daughter, Jennifer L. Whitley (Rob); a stepson, Duane E. Hall (Kelly), a grandson, Zachary B. Whitley; a sister, Cheryl L. Kiger (Terry); a niece, Michelle Kiger Novakovich (Loren); and a nephew, Brett Kiger (Carrie); along with his faithful companion Cossie.
The family will receive friends and loved ones from 11:30 AM until 12:45 PM on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at Slate Funeral Home, King, NC. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 PM, with Rev. Bill McNeill officiating. A private interment will take place.
