Tommy Ray Tucker

King – Tommy Ray Tucker, 71, of King, NC passed away on Monday, February 9, 2021 at him home surrounded by loved ones.

Mr. Tucker was born on September 23, 1949, in Stokes County, to the late Willis Rufus and Nellie East Tucker.  He attended Lighthouse Baptist Church, loved to fish, and enjoyed playing guitar.  He was spontaneous, always joking and could make anyone laugh.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of fifty-one years, Betty Mabe Tucker; his sons: Tommy Ray Tucker, Jr. (Freda), Michael Ray Tucker (Angie); sisters: Lucille Thompson (Fred), Pat Bullins (Ronnie), and Doris Tucker; grandchildren: Travis Ray Tucker, Ryan Michael Tucker, and Victoria “Tori” Tucker.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Thursday, February 11, 2021, in the Slate Funeral Home chapel.  Interment will follow at New Life Chapel Cemetery, 4540 Hwy. 66 S, King, NC. with Rev. Jerry Nelson officiating.  Mr. Tucker will lie instate from 12:00 PM until 2:45 PM prior to the funeral service.
