Veronica June (Nance) Tedder

Veronica June Tedder, 97, stepped into the presence of the Lord on Monday July 4, 2022, at her home.

Born in Stokes County, she was the daughter of the late George Willis ‘G.W.”  and Harriett Gertrude Gordon Nance and was the widow of the late Otis W. Tedder with whom she enjoyed 42 years of marriage. In addition to her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by her brothers; Bradford and Wayne Nance and sisters; Virginia Jones, Mary Lee Moore, and Emodean Gatewood.

June was a Lifelong resident of the Quaker Gap Community where she was a founding member of the Quaker Gap Community Organization, she was also a member of Quaker Gap Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, served as Sunday School teacher, and had been a member of several committees. She loved cooking and flower gardening and was a graduate of King High School.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters; Judith “Judy” Tedder Kreeger (Billy), Jill Tedder Snyder (Dean Slate), and Jane Tedder Ruff (Dennis), her brother Dan Nance, and brother- in- law, Joe Tedder (Frances), her grandchildren: Natalie Kreeger Borders (Jeremy), Nathan Kreeger (Summer), Sara Snyder Hopkins (James), Daniel Snyder (Patti), Suzanne Ruff O’Neal (Andrew) Merideth Ruff Van Meter (Tyler), and ten great grandchildren: Brennan, Blake, Gemma, George, June, Lyra, Jacob, Camden, Joel and Allie.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday July 6, 2022, at Quaker Gap Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00P.M. on Thursday July 7, 2022, at Quaker Gap Baptist Church with Dr. Jack Darida, Dr. Jim Baldwin and Rev. Gerald Jones officiating, interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family requests memorials be made to the Quaker Gap Baptist Church Building Fund: 2265 Flat Shoals Rd. King, NC 27021.
