King – Walter Franklin Collins, Jr., 72, of King, NC, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 6, 2021, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, with his family by his side.
Mr. Collins was born on March 31, 1949, in Patrick County, VA to the late Walter Franklin and Alma Nora Woods Collins. He was a Vietnam Veteran, proudly serving in the United States Army. Walter was a very spiritual man and loved to visit different churches, he was an ordained Pentecostal Minister. His hobbies include gem, mineral and stone mining, comic books and Sci Fi.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Genette Collins; a sister, Linda Calloway; a brother, Charles Collins; and a grandchild, Hayden Collins.
Left to cherish his memory is his daughter, Michele Marie Collins (Chris Pemberton); his son, Walter Collins (Crystal Miller); sisters; Judy Fultz, Gail Fultz, Betty Wood, Shirley Brewster, and Susan Shough; brothers: Thomas Collins, and Timmy Collins, and grandchildren: Keira Collins, Corrie Hudson, Reagan Pemberton, and Remy Pemberton.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at Crestview Memorial Park with Rev. Barry Wood officiating.
