Willie Ruth (Brown) Childress

King – Willie Ruth Brown Childress, 93, of King, NC passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Village Care of King. 

Mrs. Childress was born on January 15, 1927 in Surry County, NC to the late William McKinney and Emaline Shelton Brown.  She was the widow of the late Roten Childress.  She was a member of White Plains Baptist Church in Mt. Airy, NC.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her daughter Judy Aguilar.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughters: Jeanette Reid (John), Patricia Fain, and Gaynell Hendrix (Bud); her son, Linwood Gray Brown (Penny), seven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

A graveside memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 11:00 AM, at Newsome Cemetery in Tobaccoville with Elder Jeff Whitaker, and Elder Rodney Marshall Officiating.
